JetBrains seeking Product Monetisation Specialist

JetBrains, a global software vendor with more than 15 million users all around the world, is looking to hire a Product Monetisation Specialist in a hybrid role from its Limassol office.

As noted by the company, its tools help software developers work faster by automating regular, repetitive tasks and it is creating a brand-new Go-To-Market Team to support growth, as well as to develop and maintain product launch workflows,

“The team will mainly work as an internal consultancy for various product teams, helping them to package and prepare their products or new product offerings for the launch, with activities spanning from marketing planning and execution to monetisation, business process design, and other go-to-market-related tasks,” JetBrain’s LinkedIn post on the job-opening said.

“As a pricing and monetisation specialist in the Go-To-Market Team, you will work with the product team, company management, and other stakeholders to define the most effective monetisation and pricing strategy aimed at maximising the revenue and profitability of the product, service, or new product offering. Additionally, you will consult the team on the billing implementation,” the company’s post added.

As part of the team, the successful candidate will, “Together with the product team and company management, develop pricing and monetisation strategies to optimise profitability and revenue. Focus: desktop tools, SaaS, and On-Premises solutions; Analyse market trends and consumer behavior to determine the most effective pricing and monetisation strategies for JetBrains products, services, and new product offerings; Together with the sales, product, and other teams, implement billing for a chosen monetisation strategy; and Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and purchasing behavior.”

They will also be expected to: “Analyse pricing data and trends to identify monetisation opportunities and risks; Continuously advise product teams on their product monetisation performance, and suggest improvements; Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement monetisation strategies and promotions; Together with legal, finance, and compliance teams, ensure compliance with regulatory pricing requirements; Increase the awareness of the Go-To-Market processes by sharing your pricing and monetisation expertise and knowledge with various teams; and Contribute to the Go-To-Market Team guidelines and checklists, which are to be used in future projects of a similar kind.”

Requirements, according to the post include, “Fluency in English; Relevant degree or experience in business, economics, marketing, or related fields; Hands-on experience with pricing and monetisation and general knowledge of pricing models; Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, research, critical thinking, and problem solving; The ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritise high-impact activities, and keep complex projects on track; and Flawless written and verbal communication skills; and Understanding of JetBrains business and hands-on experience with IT industry-targeted product monetisation is a strong plus.”
