Larnaca Marina project in a good phase, says Minister

The project of developing Larnaca Marina is in a good phase, according to statements by Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, following a meeting at Larnaca Marina with the investors and founder of Kition Ocean Holdings, Panos Alexandrou.

Koumis said that he met with the investors of Larnaca Marina, where they got a first glimpse of the planned project.

"Undoubtedly, projects like this one, which are planned to be carried out, add additional value to our country, to the cities where they take place, and in this case, to Larnaca, and they add value to the purpose they serve, nautical tourism," Koumis added, speaking on 11 July.

Regarding the Ministry of Tourism, he said that nautical tourism is a very important sector that is on an upward trajectory and, like many others, "we are highly interested in it. We exchanged views with the marina investors. I believe that we are in a phase of good understanding, and we made commitments to continue on this path," he concluded.
