Industrial Turnover Index up 14.8% y-o-y in December

The Industrial Turnover Index reached 177.3 units (base 2015=100) in December, recording an increase of 14.8% compared to December 2021, according to data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service.

In manufacturing, the Industrial Turnover Index for December 2022 reached 179.7 units, recording an increase of 13.4% compared to December 2021. Increases were also noted in the sectors of electricity supply, by 32.1% and mining and quarrying, which increased by 27%. The water supply and materials recovery sector recorded a decrease of 13.3% compared to December 2021.

For the period January-December 2022, the index recorded an increase of 21.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
