Wizz Air reaches 7 million passengers at Larnaca International Airport

Wizz Air has announced it has reached a milestone of 7 million passengers travelling to and from Larnaca International Airport since the airline started its operation in Cyprus.

According to an announcement from Wizz Air, this achievement reflects the airline's ongoing commitment to providing affordable yet high-quality travel to its passengers.

"Since establishing its presence at Larnaca International Airport, Wizz Air has continuously strived to exceed passenger expectations by offering an extensive range of destinations, unrivalled service, and affordable fares, making travel accessible to all," the announcement said, adding, "The airline has solidified its position as a major partner in the Cypriot market and biggest airline at Larnaca International Airport, investing in the infrastructure of the airport with a fleet of 4 aircraft, doubling its capacity compared to 2022."

In response to growing demand, Wizz Air said it is constantly expanding its portfolio of routes from Larnaca International Airport, introducing new connections to captivating destinations across Europe and beyond.

Wizz Air currently connects Cyprus with 31 destinations in 18 countries, enhancing the island's air connections with the rest of the world. The most popular destinations chosen by Cypriot passengers include Greece, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Saudi Arabia, the airline's announcement noted.

To celebrate this important milestone, meanwhile, Wizz Air offered a travel voucher to the passenger with ticket number 7 million. The airline is committed to continuing to offer affordable prices on airline tickets, along with access to a wide range of services and travel options, the announcement said, noting that Wizz Air aims to maintain its high quality of service while evolving and adapting to the needs of the modern market, providing reliable and affordable travel options for its passengers in Cyprus and beyond.
