Industrial turnover grows 8.5% in first seven months of 2023

The Industrial Turnover Index for July 2023 reached 206.9 units (base 2015=100), marking a steady increase of 0.5% compared to July 2022.

Over the year-to-date period from January to July 2023, the index registered a robust increase of 8.5% compared to the same period in the previous year.

The manufacturing sector, experienced significant growth in July 2023. The Industrial Turnover Index for this sector reached 196.6 units, demonstrating an impressive 8.4% increase compared to the same month in the previous year.

Increases were also observed in the sectors of mining and quarrying (19.5%) and water supply and materials recovery (7.5%). A decrease was recorded in the electricity supply sector (-21.6%).
