Top App Games Ltd. is a mobile game developer and publisher based in Cyprus. Its flagship, LUDUS: Merge Arena, is the fastest growing mobile game in Cyprus. By September 2026, the real-time PvP strategy game had reached more than 12 million players worldwide. The same month, the studio announced that it had finished development on two new titles.
The game
LUDUS combines real-time PvP battles with card-based RPG progression. Players collect heroes, merge them to upgrade their abilities and build decks to fight opponents worldwide. Seasonal tournaments, clan competition and regular events give players reasons to come back after the first matches.
Players and revenue
In the first half of 2026, LUDUS generated $29 million in gross turnover. The second quarter brought in $14.8 million, the highest quarterly result in the game's history. In July 2026, the game recorded more than 765,000 monthly active users and around 127,000 daily active users on average.
Content updates
Top App Games runs LUDUS as a live service and keeps adding heroes and competitive formats after release. Since soft launch, the roster has grown from 25 heroes to more than 100.
Recent updates introduced three new systems:
- Clan Wars, in which clans compete against each other as teams;
- Hero Perks, which let players customise individual heroes;
- Divisions, a new structure for seasonal competitive play.
Partnerships
The studio also brings other franchises into LUDUS. A crossover with Warcrow, the fantasy tabletop game from Corvus Belli, added new characters and events. Top App Games is now looking for platform and distribution partners to reach new audiences.
Leadership
Top App Games is led by CEO and Studio Head Vladimir Markov, creator of Hustle Castle (80M players). The studio is backed by Utmost Games, the holding founded by former MY.GAMES CEO Vladimir Nikolskiy, and employs more than 100 people across five time zones.
What's next
Top App Games is using the growth of LUDUS to expand into a portfolio of games. In its September 2026 announcement, the company said development of two unannounced titles is complete, with details to follow. Plans for Ludus include new content, seasonal competitive events and expansion to new platforms.
For the Cyprus games industry, Top App Games is an example of a locally based studio building an international audience.
