CySEC highlights the free financial empowerment workshops for women organised by the Cyprus Committee for Financial Literacy and Education

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Committee for Financial Literacy and Education (CyFLEC), informs the public about a series of free financial empowerment workshops for women, entitled “Your Money. Your Power.”

The workshops are organised by CyFLEC and will take place on 10 and 11 November 2026 at The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection, in Nicosia, from 15:00 to 19:30.

The initiative forms part of CyFLEC’s activities to promote financial literacy and aims to strengthen women’s knowledge, skills and confidence in managing their personal finances.

Recognising the importance of financial education in protecting and empowering citizens, CySEC supports initiatives that promote financial awareness and contribute to sound, informed financial decision-making.

Workshop topics

The workshops are open to all women, regardless of age, occupation or level of financial knowledge. No prior experience is required.

Through four interactive thematic sessions, participants will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in the following areas:

  • Preparing and managing a household budget.
  • Saving and investing.
  • Responsible borrowing and debt management.
  • Early financial planning for retirement.

The workshops are practical and hands-on, drawing on real-life examples and everyday scenarios so that participants can immediately apply what they learn in their daily lives.

Empowering women financially

The initiative also seeks to strengthen women’s financial resilience and help bridge the gender gap in financial literacy.

Through this initiative, CyFLEC aims to equip women with practical knowledge and useful tools to make better-informed financial decisions, plan for the future with greater confidence and strengthen their financial resilience.

At the same time, the initiative contributes to efforts to narrow the gender gap in financial literacy.

Registration

Participation in the workshops is free of charge, and interested participants may choose the thematic sessions they wish to attend. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The registration deadline is 27 October 2026.

CySEC encourages women to take advantage of this opportunity to participate in workshops that can make a meaningful contribution to strengthening their financial knowledge and independence.
