Jana Hybaskova, Ambassador of Czechia to Cyprus, held a meeting with Stavros Stavrou, the president of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), along with the Secretary General, Philokypros Roussounides, to discuss ways to strengthen the economic and business relations between the two countries, the Chamber announced on Thursday.
According to the announcement, the three discussed the future of innovation, digital transformation and investment cooperation, especially with regard to the upcoming Czech business mission to Cyprus, which will take place in the context of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechia.
“As part of the programme, a Workshop on Cybersecurity in Banking, the Financial Sector and Digitalisation will be organised, providing a platform for business networking, knowledge exchange and the development of partnerships between Cypriot and Czech companies, particularly in technology-driven and innovative sectors,” CCCI said.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation and identifying new opportunities to expand bilateral trade, encourage investment and deepen business engagement between the two countries, the announcement read.
In closing, the CCCI and the Embassy of Czechia reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and supporting initiatives that contribute to stronger trade, investment and business ties between Cyprus and Czechia.
