Everything is moving towards the implementation of GSI, the Cyprus-Greece electricity interconnection project, President Nikos Christodoulides has reiterated.
The President was, on the evening of 10 September, replying to a journalist's question about the meeting Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had on 9 September with French President Emmanuel Macron on the issue.
Speaking upon his arrival at an event in Athienou, Larnaca, Christodoulides said that his diplomatic office is also in contact with the French Embassy in Nicosia.
''We believe, based on the information we have from the French Government and the conversation I had with the Greek Prime Minister, that everything, especially after the involvement (and) participation of the French company, is moving towards the implementation of the project,'' the President said.
