Cyprus’s gross domestic product (GDP) was valued at €36.48 billion in 2025, according to provisional data published by Eurostat on Thursday.
According to Eurostat, Cyprus accounted for 0.2 per cent of the European Union’s total GDP in 2025, with Estonia and Latvia also recording the same share.
Malta, with a share of 0.1 per cent, had the smallest economy in the EU, ranking below Cyprus, Estonia and Latvia.
At EU level, the GDP was valued at €18.8 trillion in 2025, with Germany having the largest economy among EU countries, at €4.5 trillion. This amount represented 23.8 per cent of the EU’s total GDP.
France followed with a GDP of €2.991 trillion and a share of 15.9 per cent of the EU total, while Italy recorded GDP of €2.258 trillion, corresponding to 12.0 per cent.
