“Tonight, we celebrate confidence in Cyprus. We honour the individuals and organisations that saw the potential of Cyprus, invested in its future, and continue to believe in our country,” Andreas Yiasemides, CEO, PwC Cyprus, said, addressing the 4th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards.
Speaking at the PwC Cyprus-presented event in Nicosia, Yiasemides continued that, “Cyprus today is a credible and attractive investment destination, shaped by its key geographic location, a stable political and economic environment, and highly skilled people. But Cyprus’ real strength is that it can adapt and move forward.”
As the CEO noted, “Our economy is now more diverse, more resilient, and more sustainable — from financial services and technology to energy, shipping, and innovation.
At PwC, we see this transformation every day, supporting businesses and investors as they grow, strengthen trust, and use Cyprus as a platform for international business.”
“Looking ahead, the opportunity is clear,” Yiasemides went on to note, “We must attract not only more investment, but the right investment — investment that is long-term, sustainable, and innovative.”
“To achieve this, we must continue to build on the close cooperation between government, regulators, businesses and the professional services sector. When we move together with clarity and purpose, we can further enhance Cyprus’ position as an investment destination,” Yiasemides noted.
The CEO of PwC Cyprus went on to underlined that, “The organisations we honour tonight are valuable ambassadors of Cyprus, reflecting progress, ambition, and an international outlook.”
He also noted that the evening was special for him on a personal level, saying, “As the new CEO of PwC Cyprus, I feel both proud and optimistic. Proud to lead the firm at a time when Cyprus continues to grow its international business profile. And optimistic because I truly believe in the potential of our business community and our country.”
As Yiasemides went on to underline, “At PwC Cyprus, we work closely with the investment community, helping investors create value, drive growth, and build long-term success. Tonight is more than a celebration. It is a signal of confidence. A statement of ambition. Because the future of investment in Cyprus is something we build...together.”
He concluded his address by giving his “Congratulations to all those recognised tonight!”
