The digital conference 'Shaping the Next Digital Future,' organised by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026, was successfully held on 17–18 June 2026 at the Filoxenia Conference Centre in Nicosia, Cyprus, bringing together more than 400 participants from Cyprus and abroad.
The two-day conference welcomed senior policymakers, European Commission officials, business leaders, technology experts, academics, and industry representatives to discuss the future of Europe’s digital transformation. Key topics included Artificial Intelligence, Digital Competitiveness, Technological Sovereignty, Cybersecurity, Digital Trust, Connectivity, and the Digital Single Market.
The event featured high-level speakers from leading organisations and institutions, including the European Commission, Microsoft, Amazon, Mastercard, DIGITALEUROPE, and ENISA, among others.
Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and fireside chats, the conference provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and exploring the opportunities and challenges shaping Europe’s digital future.
