The Cyprus Police have launched the DigiPol portal, that allows access to many services, marking a new era in the transactions of citizens with the Police.
Through the GOV.CY portal, DigiPol provides access to more than 30 Police services, such as issuing a criminal record certificate, providing police reports and submitting a declaration for the loss of an identity card.
The platform, which began operation on 8 June, was presented during a press conference, in the presence of Deputy Chief of Police, Panikos Stavrou, who said that the DigiPol portal marks a new era in the transactions of citizens with the Cyprus Police.
“The utilization of technology and the development of digital services constitute a key priority for Cyprus Police," he pointed out.
He added that this contributes to the improvement of the services provided to citizens, while reducing bureaucracy and modernizing the Police procedures and services.
"DigiPol is one of the most important digital transformation projects that the Cyprus Police have implemented and is among the largest digital modernization projects in the Public Security Sector in our country,” he concluded.
This project is funded by the EU Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, within the framework of the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan.
