The Rise of the Social-First Executive

As influence, community and culture become increasingly important drivers of business success, executive leadership is undergoing a significant transformation.

At the 23rd Marketing, Advertising, Media & Communication Conference, Gala Grigoreva, Chief Marketing Officer at Adsterra, will examine how modern leaders are adapting to this shift and why a social-first mindset has become a strategic advantage in today's business environment.

In her presentation, “The Social-First Executive: Leading Culture, Community & Commerce,” Grigoreva will discuss how senior executives are evolving beyond traditional leadership roles to become visible brand advocates, storytellers and community builders. The session will explore the importance of cultivating agile teams, fostering authentic engagement and developing cultural intelligence in an increasingly connected world.

With more than 15 years of experience in international marketing and brand strategy, Grigoreva has led global initiatives across multiple markets and currently oversees Adsterra's worldwide marketing operations. Alongside her corporate role, she serves as Community Leader for Women in Tech Cyprus and is widely recognised for her contribution to advancing diversity and inclusion within the technology sector.

Her presentation will focus on how organisations can strengthen trust, relevance and long-term growth by building meaningful relationships with their audiences. Particular attention will be given to the executive's role in shaping organisational culture, communicating purpose and creating communities that extend beyond customers to employees, partners and stakeholders.

About the Conference

Held under the theme “Generation Social,” the conference will explore how social platforms have transformed the way different generations discover information, engage with brands and make purchasing decisions. From Gen Alpha and Gen Z to Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers, social media now plays a central role in shaping consumer behaviour and business strategy alike.

The programme will feature leading industry experts discussing the creator economy, short-form video, influencer marketing, content innovation and the evolving relationship between attention, engagement and commercial performance. Additional sessions will examine how organisations can balance paid, organic and creator-led content while maximising marketing effectiveness across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
