Christodoulides το addresses Hellenic Parliament at Kaklamanis' invitation

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will address the plenary session of the Hellenic Parliament in Athens on Thursday, 14 May, following an invitation by its President, Nikitas Kaklamanis.

Both the Cypriot Presidency and Kaklamanis have described the occasion as a “historic moment”, following President Christodoulides’ acceptance of the invitation during a meeting the two men had at the Presidential Palace in Cyprus, last March. In a post on platform X at the time, the Presidency referred to the development as being of particular significance for the Republic of Cyprus.

During the meeting, President Christodoulides thanked Kaklamanis for the invitation, describing it as a “great honour” both for himself and for the Republic of Cyprus, while also referring to it as a “historic moment”.

On his part, Kaklamanis had stated that, for the first time in the history of the Greek Parliament, the President of the Republic of Cyprus had accepted an invitation to officially address the plenary session of the Hellenic Parliament.
