Innovation Deputy Minister meets with startups and tech companies in the US

Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou has participated in a targeted roundtable discussion with US startups and technology companies in an organised by Invest Cyprus in collaboration with fDi Intelligence, in Maryland.

According to a social media post by the Deputy Minister, "The discussion highlighted the evolution of the ecosystem and the comparative advantages of Cyprus as a reliable and competitive hub of innovation and technology, as well as a strategic choice for American companies seeking a presence in the region and access to the European market."

The post continued that, "The Cyprus Government and the President of the Republic himself, Nikos Christodoulides, has set the attraction of quality investments as a top priority, implementing targeted policies that enhance the business environment and innovation, while actively promoting extroversion and connectivity with international markets."

In his post, Damianou continued, "This is an effort that has already brought tangible results, since the arrival of Tenstorrent, the creation of the Plug and Play Innovation Center Tech Center Cyprus,  the strategic partnership with NVIDIA for the creation of a national supercomputer, as well as initiatives within the framework of a broader partnership with Columbia University."
