The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy has welcomed the announcement that Cyprus users top the list when it comes to the percentage of Europeans using AI tools for personal use.
When it comes to overall use of generative AI, so not only for personal use, Cyprus drops to the seventh position with approximately 44%, following Denmark with 48.4%, Estonia with 46.6%. Malta with 46.5%, Finland with approximately 46.3%, and the Netherlands and Sweden both with approximately 45%
In a relevant LinkedIn post, the Deputy Ministry said, "Almost 1 in 3 citizens in the EU used generative AI tools, mainly for personal purposes, such as image generation, copywriting and brainstorming. Cyprus ranks at the top with a percentage of 43.3% in terms of personal purposes, confirming the country's momentum in adopting modern technologies and the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into everyday life."
The news was also noted by TechIsland General Manager Tanya Romanyukha.
In a LinkedIn post, she said, "Cyprus just became the #1 country in #Europe for generative AI adoption.
A staggering 43.3% of Cypriots have actively used generative AI for personal purposes in the last 3 months.
That’s ahead of Germany. Ahead of France. And way ahead of the EU average.
This year, Cyprus is acquiring a next-generation national supercomputing infrastructure built with #NVIDIA #gpu and open to universities, startups, businesses, and researchers across the entire #ecosystem.
