Full speed ahead for better visibility and comfort on flights (video)

The new Boeing 777X offers a vastly improved flight experience, thanks to its huge windows, which provide more natural light and better views for passengers. In fact, these are the largest windows ever designed on a commercial aircraft, surpassing even those of the Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350. The 777X combines comfort, light and an open atmosphere on long-haul flights.

The 777X's windows are approximately 162 square inches and are also positioned higher so that more seats have a clear view.

Beyond the windows, Boeing has improved passenger comfort with overall features that make every transatlantic flight more enjoyable:

  • More spacious cabin, which reduces the feeling of claustrophobia.
  • Higher air humidity, reducing cabin air dryness and fatigue.
  • Reduced cabin pressure, for a more relaxing flight.
  • Electronically adjustable window shading, allowing passengers to control brightness without curtains.
  • Greater natural brightness and better visual connection with the outside world, thanks to the huge windows.

These features enhance the overall passenger experience, reduce fatigue and make long-haul flights more invigorating. Boeing has leveraged the expertise of the 787 Dreamliner, incorporating modern design and improved cabin features.

Despite its improved features, the 777X has not yet entered commercial passenger service. First deliveries to customers are expected in 2027, with airlines such as Lufthansa preparing to integrate it into their fleets. However, the aircraft's technology and design already give a clear picture of the experience it promises travelers on transatlantic routes, combining brightness, comfort and a spacious atmosphere for every passenger.
