The Cypriot real estate market is entering a new phase of maturity, demonstrating resilience and adaptability amid global economic fluctuations.
Despite the challenges of recent years, ranging from rising interest rates to geopolitical uncertainty, the sector continues to attract strong investment interest while opening up new opportunities across specialised segments such as hospitality, high-end residential developments, and mixed-use projects.
The next chapter of the market is expected to be driven by strategic diversification, data-driven decision-making, and enhanced operational efficiency, as industry players adapt to evolving economic conditions and investor expectations.
These themes will be explored in the presentation “A Thriving Market with Untapped Potential: Cyprus Real Estate’s Next Chapter,” which is part of the agenda of the 20th Real Estate, Property Development & Construction Conference & Exhibition, presented by Altia.
This year’s conference, which will take place on 17 March 2026 at Hilton Nicosia, will address several critical issues shaping the future of the industry.
The presentation will examine the growth prospects of the Cypriot real estate market, strategies for expanding into new product categories and international markets, and the critical role of business strategy in shaping a sustainable and competitive development model for the industry.
The session will be delivered by Dimitris Tsiakkis, Head of Business Development and Strategy at Altia. In his role, he is responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy, implementing strategic initiatives, and identifying new market and product opportunities within the real estate sector.
Before joining Altia, he served as Director in Financial Advisory at Deloitte Middle East, specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions, Performance Optimisation, and Data Analytics. During his time at Deloitte London, he was involved in transactions exceeding €30 billion in total value, many of which concerned companies in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
He is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW and holds an MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering.
Key topics include the institutional recognition of the property development profession, affordable housing as a growing European challenge, and the evolving roles of Nicosia and Limassol as urban and investment hubs.
The conference will also explore the potential implications of Cyprus joining the Schengen Area, a development that could significantly influence investment flows and international mobility.
Within this dynamic and complex environment, a dedicated session on Artificial Intelligence will serve as a catalyst for new thinking, examining how real estate professionals can move beyond time-consuming, traditional practices and adopt smart, automated systems that enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.
