The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence research team had a strong presence at the recent SEMICON Europa 2025 electronics manufacturing industry event in Munich, Germany.
During the conference, which was organised by microelectronics industry association SEMI Europe, KIOS/UCY Asst. Prof. Angelos Marnerides (pictured above) presented FOCAL EU, a newly EU-funded project, which will develop a new generation of communication networks that will be resilient against quantum attacks.
Also, according to a relevant LinkedIn post, at its booth, KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence demonstrated the COCOON Cooperative Cyber Protection for Modern Power Grids Programmable Node (CPN) "and showcased how this innovative solution enhances cybersecurity readiness across critical infrastructures."
The team also demonstrated the GuardAI EU Project, "which focuses on building secure, adaptable, and resilient AI for high-stakes edge applications," the post noted.
