Cyprus hosts meeting of European Technical Committee on common standards for microelectronics

The Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation (CYS) hosted the Plenary and Working Groups of a European Technical Committee in Limassol on 12 and 13 November.

In a press release, the Organisation said that the mission of the European Technical Committee CLC/TC 47X Semiconductor Devices and Trusted Chips is the development of common European standards that enhance the security, reliability, and resilience of semiconductors, microcircuits, and microelectronic systems used in modern digital and industrial applications. Through this work, privacy protection is promoted, cyber threats are addressed, and Europe’s technological autonomy is strengthened.

The meeting was attended, both in person and online, by representatives from countries such as Cyprus, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Israel, and Finland. Cyprus participated with a three-member delegation of experts.
