Alphamega, Cyprus’ largest grocery retailer, has entered a strategic partnership with Microsoft to advance its digital transformation, marking what both companies describe as a milestone for the island’s retail sector.
The collaboration focuses on modernising the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The move aims to integrate Alphamega’s financial and commercial processes under a unified digital framework, boosting operational efficiency, agility, and customer engagement.
“By embracing cutting-edge technologies like Dynamics 365, we’re not just modernising our operations - we’re redefining the future of retail in Cyprus,” said Alphamega CEO George Theodotou. “Our commitment to innovation and customer-centricity is stronger than ever.”
For Microsoft, the partnership represents a showcase of its end-to-end business technology ecosystem in action. “A true example of One Microsoft in action,” the company wrote, crediting the collaboration between its teams, Alphamega’s leadership, and local implementation partner Isystems Group.
Alphamega’s Chief Financial Officer, Christos Panteli, highlighted that the new system will help the company “streamline financial processes, enhance transparency, and make data-driven decisions with greater agility”.
Chief Information Officer Andreas Demetriou Pompatzis described the initiative as a complete modernisation of Alphamega’s “digital backbone”, powered by Microsoft’s intelligent cloud solutions. “From ERP to HR and beyond, these systems will allow us to build scalable, secure, and adaptive operations that support every facet of our business,” he said.
In a separate statement, Pompatzis added that the collaboration is “more than a milestone - it’s a foundation for the future”, emphasising Alphamega’s long-term vision to leverage technology as a driver of innovation and competitiveness.
