Cyprus is a key partner for Wizz Air, the airline’s Senior Chief Commercial & Operations Officer Michael Delehant said addressing Hermes Airports’ recent “Beyond Sea and Sun” conference.
The conference was held with the aim of shaping a strategy for transforming Cyprus into a fully developed, year-round tourism destination. Michael Delehant outlined Wizz Air’s vision for sustainable growth through its ultra–low-cost model and through strong, long-term partnerships with airports and local stakeholders.
He said the airline views Cyprus as a destination with great potential and a strong geographical position, ideal not only for year-round tourism, but also for business and family travel.
Delehant also noted that, despite common perceptions, Wizz Air is not solely a leisure airline. A significant proportion of its passengers, he said, travel for family, business, or other purposes – underscoring the airline’s broader role in regional connectivity and mobility.
