The assets of the Central Bank of Cyprus amounted to €29.9 billion on 31 August 2025, according to the body's Balance Sheet.
On the assets side, intra-Eurosystem claims stood at €19.68 billion, while securities of euro area residents denominated in euro amounted to €7.17 billion. Gold and gold receivables reached €1.25 billion, and claims on non-euro area residents denominated in foreign currency totaled €1.09 billion.
On the liabilities side, liabilities to euro area credit institutions related to monetary policy operations denominated in euro stood at €18.36 billion. Banknotes in circulation amounted to €3.22 billion, while liabilities to other euro area residents reached €5.03 billion, of which €4.62 billion concerned the general government.
Counterpart of special drawing rights allocated by the IMF was recorded at €496.9 million, while revaluation accounts stood at €1.24 billion. The Bank’s capital and reserves amounted to €333.8 million.
