Christmas Villages will this festive season welcome visitors in every district of Cyprus and, more specifically, in Agros, Deryneia, Kakopetria, Kalopanayiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara, Statos - Ayios Fotios and Fikardou.
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism made its announcement after evaluating applications from communities interested in hosting a Christmas Village from 22 November, 2025 until 6 January, 2026.
The announcement states that, after evaluating the applications for participation in the Grant Scheme for Community and Municipal Councils that fall under the "Heartland of Legends" route, this year Christmas Villages will operate in all districts and that the selected destinations will be festively decorated and include wooden houses, local products and handicrafts for sale, experiential handicraft and wine and gastronomy workshops, activities in nature such as walking on nature trails and cycling, guided tours of the villages and other surprises.
"The ultimate goal of the Deputy Ministry is for the 'Christmas Villages', with their local character, to be enriched every year to become a pole of attraction for Cypriots and foreigners," the announcement added.
More information about the programme and activities of each 'Christmas Village' will be posted on the special website for this purpose, the announcement concludes.
