There were 16 bounced cheques in August 2025, according to the preliminary list of the Central Information Register, having a total value of €52,891, the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has announced.
The total number of legal and natural persons registered in the preliminary list of the Central Information Register in August 2025 amounted to six, of which two were legal and four were natural persons. During the period January - August 2025, according to the Central Bank, 161 bounced cheques were registered in the preliminary list with a total value of €365,490.
Bounced cheques between January – August 2025 concerned a total of 82 persons (46 legal entities and 36 natural persons). Moreover, according to CBC data, the number of persons registered in August 2025 amounted to 17, of which six concern legal entities, four natural persons and seven natural persons controlling legal entities.
During the period January – August 2025, a total of 80 persons were registered in the archive, of which 29 were legal entities, 18 natural persons and 33 natural persons controlling legal entities.
