Nodes & Links identified as construction AI front-runner by climate & industrial tech investor SE Ventures

Cypriot startup Nodes & Links, which also has offices in the UK, has announced an investment from US-based SE Ventures, the venture fund backed by Schneider Electric.

As noted in the announcement, the company’s AI agents have been helping major enterprises optimise project delivery for over two years. It went on to describe the investment as a move that signals growing institutional confidence in construction AI technologies,

The undisclosed investment from SE Ventures also comes as Nodes & Links builds on the success of its recent oversubscribed Series B round highlighting the platform’s proven track record with industry leaders including AECOM, Intel, Royal BAM Group and Turner & Townsend.

SE Ventures, with €1 billion under management, focuses specifically on companies that can leverage Schneider Electric’s expertise in critical infrastructure sectors. The firm’s corporate LP operates at the intersection of data center technology, industrial automation, and construction software through its AVEVA subsidiary – sectors where digital transformation is accelerating rapidly.

“The sophistication of Nodes & Links’ approach caught our attention,” said Julien Cristiani, General Partner at SE Ventures. “Their vertical AI agents represent a mature deployment of enterprise-grade artificial intelligence that goes beyond simple automation to deliver genuine operational intelligence.”

“The construction industry is at an inflection point,” said Greg Lawton, CEO of Nodes & Links, pictured above on the right with Dr. Christos Ellinas, the startup's co-founder and CTO. “Companies that have deployed our AI capabilities over the past two years are seeing the competitive advantages that come from intelligent automation. This strategic backing from SE Ventures validates our long-term approach and accelerates our mission to transform how the world delivers complex projects.”

As noted in the announcement, meanwhile, "The investment validates Nodes & Links’ position as a technology leader in construction AI, with the platform’s capabilities extending far beyond traditional project management tools. The company’s AI agents have been operational at enterprise scale for more than two years, demonstrating the kind of proven reliability that large-scale infrastructure projects demand."

Nodes & Links’ technology addresses fundamental challenges in project delivery, where traditional approaches often result in costly delays and budget overruns. The platform’s AI-driven insights have enabled clients to achieve remarkable productivity gains, with some reporting 40x faster analysis capabilities and hundreds of hours saved monthly.

"The backing from SE Ventures, known for its selective investment approach in climate and industrial technologies, positions Nodes & Links alongside a portfolio of companies driving innovation in sustainability and operational efficiency. This alignment reflects the growing recognition that intelligent automation is essential for meeting the infrastructure demands of the modern economy," the announcement also said.

"With construction spending projected to reach $22 trillion by 2040, the need for sophisticated project management solutions has never been greater. Nodes & Links’ proven ability to deliver measurable results for complex infrastructure projects, from highways and energy installations to data centers, demonstrates the platform’s readiness to scale with industry growth," it concluded.
