The Cabinet, in a recent meeting, approved the granting of financial assistance for the restoration of damage caused to solar water heaters in residential units in all districts, due to the severe weather events that occurred last February.
More specifically, the Cabinet decided to grant financial assistance of 50% of the estimated damage, with a maximum limit of €300 per case, to owners of permanent residences. It is estimated that a total amount of approximately €768,000 will be allocated.
Affected citizens who had submitted an application are invited, if they have not already done so, to submit to the relevant District Administration the completed FIMAS authorisation form and a copy of their IBAN of their bank account. The payment of the ex-gratia financial assistance will be paid to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in a single installment by the end of October.
