Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis is travelling to Saudi Arabia following an invitation from the Minister of Transport and Supply Chain of Saudi Arabia, Saleh Al-Jasser, to participate as a speaker at the 2nd Edition of Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference, in Jeddah, on 3-4 September.
A Deputy Ministry announcement says that, in the framework of her visit, Hadjimanolis will hold a bilateral meeting with the Saudi Minister of Transport, as well as a series of contacts with representatives of shipping and other companies in the sector, based in Saudi Arabia.
The Deputy Minister will promote Cyprus shipping and explore new prospects for cooperation between Cyprus and Saudi Arabia in the shipping sector, the statement reads.
