Michael Delehant, Senior Chief Commercial & Operations Officer at Wizz Air, speaking at Hermes Airports’ “Beyond Sea and Sun” conference—which focused on shaping a strategy to transform Cyprus into a fully integrated, year-round tourism destination—outlined Wizz Air’s vision for sustainable growth through the ultra-low-cost model and stable partnerships with airports and local stakeholders.
He noted that Wizz Air views Cyprus as a destination with strong prospects and a strategic geographic position, not only for year-round tourism but also for business and family travel.
He emphasised that, contrary to common perception, Wizz Air is not an airline serving exclusively leisure travellers, as a significant percentage of its passengers fly for family, business, or other purposes.
