French Ambassador and ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence discuss cooperation

The ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence recently welcomed the Ambassador of France to Cyprus, Clélia Chevrier Kolačko, for a diplomatic visit and high-level meeting.

The Wednesday, 23 July meeting marked the beginning of a high-level dialogue aimed at cultivating a resilient and mutually advantageous collaboration between the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence and the French Embassy, a social media post by the Centre noted.

According to the same post, ERATOSTHENES CoE was represented by Professor Diofantos Hadjimitsis, Managing Director, Professor Andreas Anayiotos, Director of the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence Technology Transfer Office (INECoE), Andreas Andreou, Business Development and Technology Commercialization Executive; Eliana Iliofotou, Head of Communication, Event and Social Media; Dr. Christiana Papoutsa, Deputy Coordinator at the Agriculture Cluster, Environment & Climate Department; Dr. Konstantinos Roussos, Researcher at the Cultural Heritage Cluster, Resilient Society Department; Dr. Michalis Mavrovouniotis, Senior Researcher at the Big Earth Data Analytics Department; Dr. Kyriacos Themistocleous, External Affairs & Business Development Director; Dr. Christodoulos Mettas, Senior Researcher at the Resilient Society Department.

Key topics discussed, meanwhile, included SDAS (by SAFRAN), collaboration with Aix-Marseille Université, PRECiRRI for smart agriculture, NADIRISK for disaster risk assessment and www.SpaceBIC.com – supporting innovation in space tech, the same post said.

Also attending the meeting was Dr. Margot Hoffelt , Building archaeology, Director of excavations, Associate member, LA3M, UMR 7298, who participated in the Karmiotissa excavations. Her Excellency was accompanied by Sixtine Lefeuvre, Policy Officer for Global Affairs at the Embassy.
