The reasons why airports and the aviation industry as a whole are facing a decisive transition are analysed in an interview by the Director General of Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe), Olivier Jankovec.

As he explains, resilience to crises, achieving a zero carbon footprint with an emphasis on sustainable fuels, and strategic partnerships are the key pillars that will determine the future of the industry.

He emphasises that investing in innovation and strengthening infrastructure are the only way to achieve sustainable development and a substantial social and environmental impact.

At the same time, Jankovec refers to the key challenges facing the sector, highlighting the need for long-term strategic planning, with public policies that will support the industry and investments.
