Karaiskakio Foundation and Costa Coffee join forces for new campaign

As part of its ongoing effort to enrich its donor registry with young and healthy volunteers aged 18–45, the Karaiskakio Foundation is once again joining forces with Costa Coffee across Cyprus.

Throughout the months of July, August, and September, all eat in, take out and delivery coffee cups of Costa Coffee will feature a QR code where the interested donors will be able to scan and will be directed to www.fakeloseto.com, where they can fill out the donor registration form and a sample collection kit will then be sent to their home or another location of their choice, through ACS couriers for their saliva sample collection.

The Cyprus Bone Marrow Donor Registry of the Karaiskakio Foundation is the largest registry per capita in the world. To date, it has provided bone marrow grafts to over 850 patients suffering from leukaemia and other haematological malignancies in 36 different countries. It is one of the first registries which has been accredited by the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) and is connected to the World Marrow Donor Bank, offering access to our patients from over 42 million volunteer donors worldwide.

In a press release, the two organisation that with this simple yet impactful campaign, young people while enjoying their coffee with friends will also have the chance to offer a second chance at life to patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. The message is clear: “Spare a moment... save a life”.
