Chairman of Invest Cyprus: Showcasing the country’s advantages for foreign businesses

Cyprus is emerging as a prime investment destination as government initiatives are supporting the rapidly growing technology sector, promoting innovation and research. Cyprus’ innovative ecosystem is expanding dynamically, creating favourable conditions for startups and high-value tech investments, contributing to the country's economic prosperity and competitiveness.

With the participation of senior executives from technology companies, key decision-makers, and experts in business and private relocation, the 3rd Cyprus International Technology Relocation Summit will showcase the country’s significant advantages to foreign professionals from Europe, the Middle East, and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The event will take place on 14 October 2025, at the Hilton Nicosia hotel under the theme: “Cyprus: The New Global Tech & Innovation Hub.”

Among the summit’s key themes is “The Economy, the Investment Climate, and Government Policies and Initiatives for the Growth of the Tech Cluster.” Evgenios Evgeniou, the Chairman of Invest Cyprus, will participate in this discussion.

Mr Evgeniou is the Chairman of Invest Cyprus, non-executive director in financial services, Chairman of Nicosia for Art, member of the Corporate Governance committee of the ICAEW. Had a 31-year career with PwC, served as Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC Cyprus (2012-2021) and member of the PwC EMEA Leadership (2014 - 2021) representing fifteen European territories. Beyond commercial success, key achievements included: technological transformation; developing the data analytics, Cyber security, and AI capabilities; launching the PwC Experience Centre. An Imperial College London Engineering graduate (BEng), a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), completed the Harvard Direct Leadership program. In 2024 he earned the MA in International Affairs (Strategic Studies) from King's College London and the INSEAD Certificate in Corporate Governance.

A two-day experience of networking and insight

The conference opens on Monday, 13 October, with a networking cocktail, exclusively for invited delegates and sponsors.

The second and final day, Tuesday, 14 October, will feature four thematic roundtable discussions focusing on Cyprus’s economy and investment environment, with contributions from policymakers and institutions such as Invest Cyprus and the Research & Innovation Foundation, the corporate landscape and establishment of technology enterprises in Cyprus, the benefits for shareholders, entrepreneurs, HNWIs, and employees, and finally, insights into living and working in Cyprus.

Particularly engaging will be case studies from leading technology companies already operating in Cyprus, showcasing the island’s strategic advantages in real-world terms.

The future is being shaped in Cyprus

Through its ambitious Vision 2035 Framework, Cyprus aspires to become one of the world’s best places to live, work, and do business in. The 3rd Cyprus International Technology Relocation Summit reaffirms that the island not only has the necessary infrastructure and frameworks in place, but also the strong will to keep investing in technology and innovation.

Global interest

The Summit is part of the ongoing efforts by the Republic of Cyprus to establish its position as a global technology hub — a goal further underscored by the symbolic visit of the President of the Republic to Silicon Valley, and the interest shown from major companies such as Amazon, NVIDIA, and Plug and Play to collaborate with or establish a presence in Cyprus.

Who should attend

The summit targets a wide range of sectors, from fintech, regtech, and data management, to entertainment, media, gaming, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications. Participants also include ICT consultants, legal and tax advisory firms, investment organizations, and corporate service providers.
