Christophe Petit on Cyprus’ airport transformation - "It will ensure both airports are among the best of their kind worldwide"

Christophe Petit – Chairman of Hermes Airports and Deputy CEO of Bouygues Bâtiment International – visited Cyprus to mark a major milestone: the laying of the foundation stone for the Phase II development works at Larnaca and Paphos airports, officially launching a €170 million expansion project.

In the video interview, Petit explains that both airports are now being upgraded to align with contemporary international standards. Through strategic partnerships with Cypriot entities, including the Shacolas Group, Hermes Airports has played a pivotal role in Cyprus’ transformation into a dynamic regional aviation hub.

Today, Larnaca and Paphos airports handle over 12 million passengers annually — a milestone made possible through carefully cultivated airline partnerships and the resilience shown during periods of uncertainty, most notably the COVID-19 pandemic. You can watch more in the video below.
