Cyprus industrial turnover up 5.0% in March, driven by manufacturing and mining

The Industrial Turnover Index in Cyprus rose by 5% in March 2025 compared to the same month a year earlier, reaching 137.7 units (base year 2021=100), according to data released by CySTAT.

For the first quarter of 2025, the index posted an overall annual increase of 5.8%, reflecting steady momentum in industrial activity across the economy.

The manufacturing sector was the primary driver of growth, with its turnover index climbing to 138.3 units in March, a notable 7.2% increase year-on-year. The mining and quarrying sector also showed strong performance, rising by 12.5% annually.

In contrast, declines were recorded in the water supply and materials recovery sector, which fell by 4.5%, and in electricity supply, which dropped by 3.3%.
