Total beer deliveries drop by 4% y-o-y in May, exports up by 83.9%

In May 2025, total beer deliveries (domestic and exports) from factories in Cyprus recorded a significant 4% decrease compared to May 2024, with beer deliveries for domestic consumption dropping by 8%, while exports saw an impressive annual increase of 83.9%.

Specifically, according to data released by CySTAT, total beer deliveries amounted to 4,497,608 litres, compared to 4,682,575 litres in May 2024.

More precisely, beer deliveries for domestic consumption in May 2025 showed a notable 8% decrease compared to May 2024, falling to 4,115,967 litres from 4,475,044 litres in May 2024.

In contrast, beer exports recorded an impressive increase of 83.9% compared to May 2024, rising to 381,641 litres from 207,531 litres in May of the previous year.

According to the data from CySTAT, during the first five months of 2025, total beer deliveries decreased by 2.4%, or by 378,619 litres, reaching 15,422,120 litres compared to 15,800,739 litres in the corresponding period of 2024.
