Cyprus services and transport turnover up in Q1 2025, led by tourism and support services

The Turnover Value Index of Services and Transport sectors in Cyprus increased in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting continued expansion in key areas of the economy, according to figures released by CySTAT.

The largest increase was recorded in administrative and support service activities, which rose by 10.6% compared to the same quarter of 2024. Accommodation and food service activities followed closely with a 9.4% annual rise, pointing to the strong performance of the tourism-related sectors.

Transport and storage activities registered a 6.7% increase, while Information and Communication Technologies rose by 5.4%. Real estate activities also grew by 3.2% year-on-year.

In contrast, a marginal decrease of 0.1% was observed in professional, scientific and technical activities, marking the only sector in decline during the quarter.
