Press Release 13:32 - 05 June 2025

A landmark study titled “A Pioneering Perspective on Gen Z: The First Comprehensive Study in Cyprus” was presented on 4 June at Loft Restaurant & Bar.
The event was organised by Cablenet and Leonidas Alexandrou, a distinguished corporate trainer and business consultant, in the presence of members of the media, business representatives, and academic institutions.

The event was opened by Ioannis Mavridis, CEO of Cablenet, who addressed the audience on behalf of the company that truly understands the new generation and actively supported both the research initiative and the organisation of the event. In his opening remarks, Mavridis emphasised the strategic importance of this study, noting that it constitutes the first research of its kind and scale ever conducted in Cyprus. He underlined that its findings will serve as a valuable tool for businesses to reshape not only their internal culture but also their communication methods and messaging strategies in order to meaningfully engage with the new generation of consumers and employees.

The research, conducted by Pulse Market Research under the scientific guidance of Leonidas Alexandrou, aims to shed light on the authentic values, behavioural patterns, and aspirations of Cyprus’ Generation Z, offering timely answers in an ever-evolving social and economic landscape.

During the event, Panayiotis Panayiotou, General Manager of Pulse Market Research, presented the methodology and research framework, while Leonidas Alexandrou delivered an in-depth analysis of the study’s key findings.

The results are revealing: Generation Z is introducing new consumer behaviours that are radically transforming the sales landscape, shifting business focus from traditional models to authentic experiences and personalisation. This generation is ambitious, with high expectations from employers and brands, and demands that organisations align with its needs, values, and standards.

In the field of Human Resources, the findings highlight the need for structural change in corporate culture and leadership approach, so that companies can successfully attract and retain Gen Z talent. Moreover, the communication and promotion strategies of products and services are undergoing a major shift—where authenticity, speed, and digital interactivity now form the foundation of every successful strategy.

The event concluded with a brunch and an open discussion among attendees, sparking a new dialogue about how Generation Z is actively shaping the future.
Cablenet reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting initiatives and actions that concern the younger generation—aiming to empower, connect, and positively impact the youth of today.
