Cyprus and France discuss deepening defence cooperation

The 3rd Strategic Dialogue between the Ministries of Defence of Cyprus and the French Armed Forces has taken place at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre facilities in Larnaca, with discussions focusing on ways to deepen defence cooperation.

A statement from the Ministry of Defence said that the two delegations, led by Lieutenant General Charis Georgiou, Director of the General Staff of the Minister of Defence and Alexandre Escorcia, of the Directorate of International Relations and Strategy of the French Ministry of Armed Forces, "had the opportunity to discuss the existing defence cooperation between the two ministries and ways to further deepen it".

They also discussed issues of common interest concerning international and regional developments, the press release concludes.
