Cyprus Airways and Air India announce interline partnership

Cyprus Airways and Air India have signed a new interline agreement, aiming to enhance connectivity and travel options for passengers across both airlines' networks.

According to a relevant announcement, the partnership "enables travellers to book seamless itineraries on a single ticket, benefitting from a unified baggage policy and a smooth transit experience."

"This strategic agreement will significantly expand travel opportunities via key hub airports including Larnaca International Airport (LCA), Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), Dubai International Airport (DXB), Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Tel Aviv (TLV) and Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) — offering access to an even broader network across Europe and India," the announcement continued.

Through this agreement:

  • Cyprus Airways passengers will gain convenient access to multiple cities across India, such as Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Hyderabad (HYD), Chennai (MAA), and Cochin (COK), operated by Air India.
  • Air India customers will be able to connect seamlessly to Cyprus Airways-operated flights to Larnaca in Cyprus via Air India’s gateways in Dubai, Tel Aviv and Paris and Milan in Europe

“This interline partnership with Air India reflects our commitment to providing greater choice and seamless connectivity to our passengers,” said Thanos Pascalis, CEO Cyprus Airways. “It supports our growth strategy and further positions Cyprus as a key transit hub between Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.”

“Our new partnership with Cyprus Airways strengthens our extended worldwide network and provides easy access to our guests to and from Cypus, an emerging tourism destination for Indians and a country with which India’s trade ties continue to grow," said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India.

The interline agreement is now in effect and tickets are available for booking through both airlines’ accredited travel agents.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both carriers and paves the way for deeper cooperation in the future, enriching the travel experience for passengers worldwide.
