Cyprus and India stock exchange officials agree to enhance cooperation

Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) officials met in Nicosia with officials from the National Stock Exchange of India, following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, according to a CSE press release.

The officials agreed to continue their efforts for the MoU's practical implementation, for the mutual benefit of both markets, it noted.

The meeting took place between Ashish Chauhan, MD and CEO of NSE Group and V Bala, MD and CEO of NSE IX, and a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Board of the CSE, Marinos Christodoulides.

Christodoulides said that the meeting took place in the framework of strengthening business and investment relations between the two countries, as presented in more detail by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who visited Cyprus on Sunday and Monday.

The cooperation between the two Stock Exchanges focuses on exploring the possibility of developing cooperation in issues related to nvestment, new financial products and parallel listing of companies on the Stock Exchanges, the press release said.
