PwC Cyprus holds leadership events for family and small businesses

PwC Cyprus, under the auspices of the Cyprus-UK Business Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and with the support of the British High Commission, successfully hosted two high-impact business events on 12 and 13 June at its Experience Center in Nicosia.

The events brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals to explore today’s most pressing leadership challenges—and the opportunities that come with them.

At the heart of both sessions was keynote speaker Michelle Lestas, a respected Business Turnaround Specialist and award-winning author. Through a dynamic and deeply practical keynote format, she tackled the evolving needs of business leadership, offering real-world strategies to drive performance, productivity, and long-term business value.

On 12 June, the focus was on “Family Business: Survival, Succession & Strategy.” Attendees examined how family-run enterprises an build resilience, manage succession across generations, and unlock new growth opportunities. A panel of industry experts joined the discussion, offering insights into governance, transformation and adapting legacy models to today’s realities.

On Friday, 13 June, the theme shifted to “Know Your Leadership for Small Business Growth,” with a broader look at how small and medium enterprises can strengthen their leadership capacity to navigate uncertainty and scale impact. The accompanying panel discussion delved into the evolving expectations of today’s business environment and how advisors can better support entrepreneurs through periods of change.

Each event concluded with an open Q&A and networking breakfast, fostering meaningful dialogue among participants and creating space for future collaboration.

“We believe leadership is not static—it evolves alongside the ever-changing business landscape” said Vassilios Vrachimis, Partner and Head of Consulting in PwC Cyprus. “Through these events, we brought together diverse voices to empower business leaders with the clarity, confidence and tools to lead forward—so they can sustain momentum and thrive across generations.”

PwC Cyprus said it remains committed to creating platforms where bold conversations and practical insight come together—supporting businesses in Cyprus to move with speed, direction and purpose.
