One of the most important Summits hosted by Cyprus within the framework of the EU Council Presidency is currently underway, that of the College of EU Commissioners, which is taking place at the new Limassol Port.

According to the schedule, a family photo will be taken and then the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will visit, in the passenger hall area of the new port, an exhibition on the Amalthea Project before sitting in on a bilateral meeting.
At the same time, meetings will begin in groups of Ministers/Deputy Ministers and Commissioners, with a discussion on issues of the European agenda and the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency and the Commission.
A little later, the plenary session of the meeting will take place, with the entire College and the Council of Ministers, headed by the President of the Republic and the President of the European Commission.
At 5.05pm President Christodoulides and President von der Leyen are due to hold a press conference.
At the end of the press conference, von der Leyen will proceed to Larnaka Airport and depart Cyprus, while the Commissioners will travel to Nicosia, where the President of the Republic will host a dinner in their honour.
