SkyUp Airlines™ celebrates launch of flights between Cyprus – Moldova, Romania, and Poland

An event was held on 12 June at Larnaca International Airport by SkyUp Airlines™ to celebrate the official launch of direct flights connecting Cyprus with Moldova, Romania and Poland.

The event was a great success, gathering guests and media representatives, a press release said.

Flights from Larnaca to Chisinau (Moldova) are operated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, with an additional flight added every Friday starting July 4th. At the same time, as of June 1st 2025, SkyUp Airlines began operating direct flights from Warsaw and Katowice to Larnaca every Sunday, significantly enhancing Cyprus's connectivity with Central Europe. Also, SkyUp™ flights start from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca to Larnaca on June 20,2025.

The event featured a cake-cutting ceremony, speeches, and a festive atmosphere, while the importance of the new air routes was highlighted for strengthening tourism and business ties between Cyprus, Moldova, Romania and Poland.

Orthodoxou Aviation is the General Sales Agent (GSA) of SkyUp Airlines™ in Cyprus. The company is responsible for representing, selling, marketing, and overseeing the flights from Larnaca Airport.

Regarding this occasion, Daria Alieksieienko, Director of Regular at SkyUp Airlines™, stated: “This season, we are excited to launch regular flights to Larnaca from five different cities – Chișinău, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Warsaw and Katowice.
