Bolt launches Minibus category and integrated Flight Tracking for scheduled airport routes

Bolt has added a Minibus option via app and an integrated advanced Flight Tracking service for scheduled routes to and from the airport to the range of services it offers in Cyprus.

According to an announcement from the European mobility platform, the new Minibus category, featuring vehicles with more than nine seats, comes to meet the growing need for larger group transportation. “It is the ideal choice for tourist excursions, transfers to and from hotels and airports, conferences, as well as social or business events. Passengers can easily plan their route through the Bolt app, selecting the Minibus category during the route planning process,” the announcement elaborates.

At the same time, Bolt has introduced the Flight Tracking service for scheduled routes to and from airports. As the company explains, “Users can now sync their flight details with their scheduled route in the app. If their flight is delayed or cancelled, the pick-up time is automatically adjusted or the route is cancelled at no additional charge, a significant advantage for passengers, ensuring complete flexibility and peace of mind, even in unpredictable circumstances.”

According to Bolt’s announcement, “The process is simple: during a scheduled airport booking, the user selects ‘Add flight details’ and enters the flight number, arrival date and preferred pick-up time after landing. The app takes care of all updates in real time, offering safety and security to passengers, even during peak hours or late at night.”

The company also notes that Bolt is the first company in Cyprus to introduce these two new services.

Nuno Inácio, Regional General Manager, Rides, Southern Europe at Bolt, commented, “With the launch of Minibus and the integration of Flight Tracking in Cyprus, we strengthen our commitment to offering flexible, accessible and technologically advanced mobility solutions that meet the real needs of passengers. Our goal is to create smart and sustainable cities, with choices for everyone and Cyprus is an excellent example of the implementation of this strategy.”
