PwC Cyprus and CIM-Cyprus Business School join forces

PwC Cyprus and CIM-Cyprus Business School are expanding their collaboration by offering young people who choose to study Accounting and Finance the opportunity to do so while simultaneously working at the organisation as paid professionals.

Through a three-year study program, individuals who wish to pursue a career in finance are given the opportunity to attend the top-ranked "BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance (3 Years)" program of the University of West London, offered by CIM since 2011 in Nicosia and Limassol, while working simultaneously. The innovation of this collaboration lies in the fact that selected candidates, after submitting the relevant application, can combine their evening classes studies with employment at PwC Cyprus, receiving both a salary and a scholarship from PwC Cyprus.

It is worth noting that the University of West London is the No. 1 British University in terms of rankings, actively operating in Cyprus for the past 14 years.

This initiative is part of the "Education and Culture" pillar of the PwC Foundation and provides interested individuals with the opportunity to combine professional education and specialisation with practical work experience and financial compensation. Additionally, it aligns fully with the state’s efforts to connect the labor market with the academic sector and has a social dimension by offering economically vulnerable students the opportunity to participate.

Eleni Vasiliou, Human Resources Manager at PwC Cyprus, stated: "Enhancing skills and educating young people is an integral part of our organisation and of the PwC Foundation. We remain committed to our long-standing dedication to supporting the local community by investing in people with vision and determination. Through such initiatives, we contribute in our own way to the development and professional education of those who strive to fulfil their dreams and ambitions."

Yangos Hadjiyiannis, CEO of CIM-Cyprus Business School, stated: "We are delighted to announce our collaboration with PwC Cyprus for the work-study scheme, an innovative plan fully aligned with the needs of the modern labour market. As the leading Cypriot Business School, we are once again pioneering by partnering with one of the world’s top professional services organisations. We are confident in the success of this initiative and invite the public to submit their applications."

Application process

CIM has been serving students of all ages since 1978, in Nicosia and Limassol, offering exclusively evening classes to meet the needs of working individuals. Those interested in the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance, offered by the University of West London, must submit their CV to PwC Cyprus. The CV will be evaluated, and the candidate will be invited for an interview. If recruited, they will enjoy the program’s benefits as long as they are employed by PwC. Through the program, selected individuals will simultaneously benefit from education, paid employment, and opportunities for targeted professional advancement.
