The partnership between CIM-Cyprus Business School and Cambridge Judge Business School marks a historic achievement in executive education, not only for Cyprus but for the entire Eastern Mediterranean region.

The agreement, finalised in February 2023 and officially announced at the British High Commission in June of the same year, represents the first time Cambridge’s Executive Education division has partnered with an institution outside the UK. This collaboration signifies the growing recognition of Cyprus as an emerging education hub, offering global-standard business and leadership training.

The Legacy and Vision of CIM-Cyprus Business School

Founded in 1978 in Nicosia and expanding to Limassol in 1984, CIM-Cyprus Business School has played a pivotal role in shaping business education in Cyprus. At a time when Limassol was still in the early stages of development, CIM took a bold step in establishing an academic presence there, a move that has since paid off significantly. Over 5,000 graduates from CIM have gone on to lead businesses both locally and internationally, contributing to the city’s economic growth. Through initiatives such as corporate scholarships and free business seminars, CIM has also maintained strong ties with the local community.

With a rapidly growing international workforce relocating to Limassol, CIM has positioned itself as a key player in upskilling and reskilling professionals. All programmes are offered in English and structured as evening courses, making them accessible to working professionals. The opening of the Limassol campus further reflects CIM’s long-term commitment to educational excellence and future growth.

The Significance of the CIM-Cambridge Collaboration

The collaboration with Cambridge Judge Business School is a monumental step for CIM, further solidifying its reputation as a leading business school in the region. Cambridge, ranked the No. 2 university in the world by QS Rankings 2023, brings world-class expertise and academic rigor to the partnership. The success of this collaboration was the result of over three years of negotiations, underscoring the immense effort required to establish Cyprus as a credible destination for executive education at the highest level.

This partnership allows CIM to offer specialised executive education programmes designed to meet the demands of modern business leaders. These courses, developed and delivered by Cambridge faculty, provide professionals in Cyprus and neighbouring regions with access to high-calibre training without the need to travel abroad. The first of these programmes, “Transformational Leadership,” held on December 4-5, 2023, was a resounding success, attracting executives from top Cypriot and international firms. Due to overwhelming demand, the programme will be offered again on December 4-5, 2025.
