Jumbo planning two new stores, in Larnaca and Protaras

Jumbo has revealed plans to expand its network of stores in Cyprus with two additional hyper-stores over the next five years, one in Larnaca and one in Protaras.

The new openings were reported along with Jumbo’s 2024 financial results.

As well as the two new stores in Cyprus, Jumbo also announced its target for Greece saying this would be opening a new store every three years. For Bulgaria, Jumbo said its plans included a new hyper-store and selling land plots not intended for store development, over the next two to three years. When it comes to Romania, Jumbo said it plans to expand its network there by adding one to two hyper-stores annually.

The Company will also establish two new distribution centers, it said, in Thessaloniki, enhancing distribution efficiency for Northern Greece and Bulgaria and in Oinofyta, for the rest of Greece and international markets, it said within the report on its financial results.

In 2024, the Jumbo Group operated 89 stores with 53 in Greece, six in Cyprus, 10 in Bulgaria, and 20 in Romania.

In early April, the third Jumbo hyper-store opened in Israel. By the end of 2025, two more hyper-stores are expected to open, bringing the total to five.

The Group also operates online stores in Greece, Cyprus, and Romania, with a Bulgarian online store expected to launch this year.

Through partnerships, the Group currently also has a presence with 40 branded stores in seven countries - Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Israel.
