Cyprus Airways takes flight with a greener, smarter travel experience on board new Airbus A220

Cyprus Airways has welcomed its fourth Airbus A220-300 aircraft, describing the craft as "a modern marvel that combines comfort, innovation, and environmental care."

As noted in a press release, "Designed for today’s traveller and tomorrow’s world, the A220 offers a quieter, more spacious, and tech-friendly experience with USB ports, wider seats, larger windows, and whisper-silent flights. But it’s what passengers can’t see that matters most — the A220 is one of the world’s most fuel-efficient aircraft, cutting CO₂ emissions by up to 25% and dramatically reducing noise pollution."

“As the Flag Carrier airline of Cyprus, we are deeply aware of our responsibility to both our people and our environment,” Thanos Pascalis, CEO of Cyprus Airways commented, continuing, “This aircraft respects the island, consuming less, emitting less, and making less noise than other types, contributing to a greener, cleaner Cyprus.”
